The cliffs between Brighton and Newhaven are generally tall, with some dips as can be seen at Telscombe and Saltdean. There are long stretches of undercliff concrete walkway with low walls on top, which protect the base of the cliffs. At the end of the most easterly section of the walkways the cliffs are particularly high - - www.ipernity.com/doc/philsutters/35062977/in/album/710357
If you join this walkway at its western end you have a ramp down from the cliff top. It looks quite inviting but when you get to the east end you have a steep climb up huge flights of steps! www.ipernity.com/doc/philsutters/35070105/in/album/710357
