Procuro o meu nome, e o que surge são vastos mergulhos no cais esquecido de mim.

The beautiful image and words resonate with me Armando.
But what is in a name? We are not just a name but the sum of our lives, our experiences, our memories. Find yourself and you will know who you are.

Have a good weekend, both of you

Armando Taborda replied to Ecobird:

Sometimes others know us better than ourselves, Carol! I believe as deeply you think about yourself as far you are from you.

We never find who we are, honestly speaking.

Have a great weekend as well, both of you.

Ecobird replied to Armando Taborda:

You may well be right Armando and you have made me think more deeply. I feeI have always been scrupulously fair and honest materially and would rather give too much than too little, but it is not always as easy to be as honest with yourself about your own actions and feelings. We accept perceived failings in others because it is part of who they are. Kindness to others may be in your nature but maybe it makes us too tolerant of our own actions. Should be extend the same tolerance we show to others to ourselves? We all want to believe the best of ourselves I guess. Facing up to our own failings without excuse is a very difficult thing to do. So I guess you are right. We don't really know ourselves that well at all

Have a good weekend

Armando Taborda replied to Ecobird:

You write down just a paragraph of a psychology manual, well thought out, and well expressed!

Thanks much, Carol!
