Crompton Moor trig-point

A view of the trig point on the highest hill on Crompton Moor. We see here the door and window on the side of this large trig point structure---- or do we?

HBM, enjoy the week.

Far more substantial than any trig point I've seen, Herb, and it does indeed look like a door and window. HBM and have a good week.

A cracking view of this Trig Point...........and the wonderful view it offers. Shame about the bench being in the way :-)))

I've done a bit of research and the window and door are actually an Ordnance Survey plaque and a Flush Bracket :-)

Do I get a prize?

Herb Riddle replied to Keith Burton:

You certainly do Keith ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°) . Glad you took the trouble to check that out. I was quite amazed to see how our eyes plays tricks on us with the size of all that. Glad you liked the view in spite of the bench. In the old days, I would have never included benches as I felt they were intrusive and never so pretty :)

Cheers. Herb
