This small wall is the side of a timber gate, the temporary home for migrating nocturnal
Australian Bogong Moths. These were in the darkness between the gate and the post until I opened the gate. They are about 25-35mm long. More mages in the PiPs. Best viewed large.
Bogong Moths are currently in vast numbers around the south east of NSW, having migrated over 1000km from their breeding areas in the Australian interior to spend the summer months in highland caves of the southeast ranges. Early next year, the survivors will migrate back to the breeding areas to begin a new breeding cycle.

J'aime bien le pip du milieu où on voit bien le détail des antennes.
