Xata
It is a boat normally used by one man only for the artisanal catch of fish in the sea. According to FAO there are currently four million commercial fishing vessels and about two thirds ( 2.7 million ) are undecked boats, traditional craft powered only by sail, oars or very small outboard engines ( 2.5 to 4.0 HP ) .In Portugal their overall length is 2.5 to 3.5 meters and are generally used by one man alone, either for fishing or, in few situations, as tenders to a bigger boat.
