Nicely composed John..........great to have the person in shot for scale and he's nicely framed between the trees. I like the shape of the tree on the right and the building makes a nice plain background.

John FitzGerald replied to Keith Burton:

Thanks, Keith. I was lucky to get this. I saw this shaping up too late to have time to change the camera settings, so I just held up the camera and shot.

The tree is really the subject, I think. It has a beautiful shape, and it's perfectly backed by a nearly flat color, with a bold stripe. But my mind keeps trying to remove it, so the lone figure is dwarfed by a monolith of solid building and foreground road. But the tree is there, and he escaped.

John FitzGerald replied to rdhinmn:

This building actually has some interesting landscaping, Bob. That tree impresses me, too. It reminds me of Japanese ink drawings.

John FitzGerald replied to Amazingstoker:

Thanks, Stoker. The extensive landscaping here does relieve the blandness of the neighbouthood.

John FitzGerald replied to J. Gafarot:

Thanks, José. As I mentioned to Keith, I was very lucky here -- didn't even have time to adjust the exposure.
