Une immense plage de sable blanc de 2.5 km, avec vue sur les îles de Molène et d’Ouessant, et sur la presqu’île de Kermorvan. En PiP : Le phare de Saint-Mathieu et les ruines de l'église abbatiale d'un monastère béndictin du XI et XIIe siècles. Au Moyen-Âge les moines entretenaient un fanal au sommet de l’Abbaye pour guider les marins. Quand la vieille tour de l’abbaye menaça de s’effondrer, la Marine fit bâtir en 1835 un phare à proximité. Il est électrifié en 1932 et télécommandé depuis 2005.

BLANCS SABLONS BEACH. A vast 2.5-km-long white-sand beach offering views of the islands of Molène and Ouessant, as well as the Kermorvan Peninsula. In PiP: the Saint-Mathieu Lighthouse and the ruins of the abbey church from an 11th- and 12th-century Benedictine monastery. In the Middle Ages, the monks maintained a beacon at the top of the abbey to guide sailors. When the abbey’s old tower threatened to collapse, the Navy built a lighthouse nearby in 1835. It was electrified in 1932 and has been remotely controlled since 2005.

STRAND VON BLANCS SABLONS. Ein grosser, 2,5 km langer weisser Sandstrand mit Blick auf die Inseln Molène und Ouessant sowie auf die Halbinsel Kermorvan. Im PiP : Der Leuchtturm von Saint-Mathieu und die Ruinen der Abteikirche eines Benediktinerklosters aus dem 11. und 12. Jh. Im Mittelalter unterhielten die Mönche auf dem Gipfel der Abtei ein Leuchtfeuer, um den Seeleuten den Weg zu weisen. Als der alte Turm der Abtei einzustürzen drohte, liess die Marine 1835 in der Nähe einen Leuchtturm errichten. Dieser wurde 1932 elektrifiziert und wird seit 2005 ferngesteuert.
