Bei den zur Zeit hohen Temperaturen kommen natürlich auch die Schmetterlinge in Fortpflanzungsstimmung. Im Bild ein Paar vom Schachbrettfalter (Melanargia galathea), das Männchen unten (schwarz-weiß), das Weibchen oben (gelblich-weiß). Beim Fotografieren flog das Paar fest miteinander verbunden davon, um weiter weg zu landen und dort die Kopulation (Übertragung von Spermazellen) fortzusetzen.

With the current high temperatures, the butterflies are of course also in the mood to reproduce. The picture shows a pair of marbled white (Melanargia galathea), the male below (black and white), the female above (yellowish white).
