The lake Achensee currently has a high water level because a lot of melt water flows in - as here via the Pletzach at Pertisau (Tyrol, Austria). In winter, however, the water level drops by up to 6 metres because the lake feeds a large hydroelectric power plant with a standard annual production of approx. 220 GWh.

Der Achensee hat derzeit einen Wasser-Höchststand, weil viel Schmelzwasser zufließt - so wie hier über die Pletzach bei Pertisau (Tirol, Österreich). Im Winter hingegen sinkt der Wasserspiegel um bis zu 6 Meter, weil der See ein großes Wasserkraftwerk mit einer Regeljahreserzeugung von ca. 220 GWh speist.
