A kelpie, or water kelpie (Scottish Gaelic: Each-Uisge), is a shape-shifting spirit inhabiting lochs in Irish and Scottish folklore. It is usually described as a grey or white horse-like creature, able to adopt human form. Some accounts state that the kelpie retains its hooves when appearing as a human.

A wonderful and interesting picture, which I like very much!
Very nice composition with great colours, and a place I recognise. I was there in 2009, but strangely only one picture here on ipernity (which you have already seen). Perhaps I should dig a few more out of the archives!.
