Somerset Levels
Totney Drove looking East on a bright but cold winter's day, this is on the Northern edge of the160,000 acres (650 km2) levels, 32 sites of special Scientific interest 12 of which are Special Protection Areas as well as the oldest known timber trackway dating from around 3800 BC are all to be found in this part of the levels,
Droves are roads and Rhynes (Somerset Spelling) are watercourses
The note is of Brent Knoll at 449ft (137 M) it is one of the few points of higher ground on the levels and was an Island prior to the draining of the area.
I would encourage a large view !
