hen[26] - unusual ... [HBM]

One of the many benches dotted around Hendon, this one is an interesting design.
This is light enough in colour to be marble, but I think more likely to be polished concrete.
.
Would make a good site for a picnic - earlier, a family thought so ?

The first time I saw this bench, there was a small family having a snack and drinks - with the raised section acting as a table.
I captured the empty site on my way back ...

The stone bench might have been cooler to sit on, it was a hot - for London - day, and the wooden one could have had some shade from a nearby tree or two.
