One of the most well known sites in Lindau is the entrance to the harbour, consisting of the Bavarian lion and a lighthouse. Seen from the shore on the left, the imposing, six meters high sandstone lion statue and on the right hand side the new lighthouse with a height of 33 meters. Between the two structures one has a splendid view towards Lake Constance and the Austrian and Swiss Alps.
