Slender Rice Flowers

These flowers, I am fairly sure they're native to Austraia, were in the National Park near Bundanoon. They should be easily identified, but so far I've had no success. Looking for something with long tubular bases to the flowers with 4 petals, plus opposed leaves on the stems. There's also a little bug, but you will need to view large to see it.

UPDATE Full points to Patrick Brandy (see below) who has come up with the ID for these. They are Pimelea liefolia, with the common name "Slender Rice Flower".

Let's just call them Mystery Flowers, I think that's a totally appropriate name for those (hidden) beauties).

Are the flowers scented, George? If so they might belong to the 'Daphne' family.

The insect is so well positioned that it would only be discovered in full-screen mode without your hint.
Great shot, George!
