Note: This daylight photo taken in the early evening features the planet Venus (white dot on the right). Every once in a while, when Venus' elongation is the greatest (furthest distance from the sun) and the sky is clear and free of haze, Venus can be seen with the naked eye during daylight hours. This has been occurring for the last few days since 9-10 January 2025 and the phenomena will soon end. Thus this ordinary photo is actually extraordinary.

I've had the feeling that Venus also has been especially bright in the night sky over the past few days, hasn't it? In any case, it's truly a magnificent natural spectacle.
