Coat of arms
A friend sent me this gem that he found in Madeira Island. I don't know if the coat of arms is apocryphal, or if it was bought at the Flea Market.
But, in truth, an amateur genealogical researcher, a lawyer in Porto, found out that my most distant ancestor (so far his research arrived), was Count Roriz TABORDA, a Galician nobleman, who emigrated to Lisbon, in 1371, during the Reign of D. Fernando, where he became the owner of a chain of taverns that, it seams, made good profits.
For lack of time the lawyer's investigation did not go beyond the 14th century, but if he had continued, he might have come to the conclusion that my first ancestor was Adam, who emigrated from God to Paradise, and then to the Earth of all sins, in the good company of Eve, and so forth...

The lawyer made the investigation because a branch of his wife crossed with the Taborda's. So, the investigation on my family wasn't his main target, just a derivation.

I think I need to look for a heraldic expert to decipher the contents of my coat of arms.
Best wishes from us.
