This lovely image just goes to show the nature of Cornwall's climate. I'd never has guessed this was taken in January, everything looks so green and fresh.

Easy to understand why there are sub tropical gardens down there

They look like Camelia flowers Andy! That is early! Mine are a bit hidden, so I will take a look tomorrow and see if they are anywhere near flowering! Nicely taken from the loo ;-))

Apparently my mums always flower about now. I didn't know this as they hadn`t been planted when I lived here 12 -14 years ago. Thank you, Rosa!.

Oh dear - when you say things like Lou Reed and David Bowie getting it on in the same sentence as saying you took this photo from inside the outside loo - it conjures up all sorts of visions!!! It is lovely nevertheless seeing camelias in winter - a bright spot of colour in a dull winter.

That's down to your imagination, Jenny. I honestly hadn't made any sort of connection between the two!
