My picnic table.

Well, I haven't shown my favourite picnic table for quite some time and I'm not sure whether I've posted this exact same shot before but even I have, I feel it's worth another airing! Better maybe on full screen.

Beautiful place, Andy. I love the wild-flowers and lichens here.

Andy Rodker replied to Ronald Losure:

Thank you, Ronald!
I have always been intrigued by the lichen. The two granite areas I know best are these mountains (very far inland and not in the least bit affected by maritime weather patterns) and Cornwall (similar granite but pounded by Atlantic gales). The lichen would appear to be exactly the same! I'll try and find a shot of each to show, for comparisons sake!

Not only is the place lovely, but the swirl of plants composition is gorgeous. So glad you brought it out to show!

I think I must have posted a dozen shots of this interesting granite structure over the years, Laura!

HOW TALL ARE THE CHAIRS AND HOW IN THE WORLD TO YOU BALANCE THEM ON THOSE LARGE STONES?

BEAUTIFUL SHOT, MY FRIEND!

Thank you, Peggy!
The table is normal table size. Only an idiot would attempt to carry chairs up here: it's hard scrambling country for the most part. I was kidding!

It's a great setting for the table, though I'm unsure how you'd set the table, Andy. :-)

Yes, absolutely worth seeing it again. I love the way the table is in shadow and so much light all around.
