Thank you, Jenny. The yellow flowers you know are dandelions and the white ones are the flowers of rock samphire which only grows in such rocky places between 10 and 50 feet above the shoreline where there is plenty of salt in the air.
You certainly don't need to add salt when cooking it, preferably by steaming for a couple of minutes only and serving with unsalted butter, and best with white fish!
