The colour version

It has a lot of potential for bw! I guess you just converted it from colour, you could probably make it more dramatic with filters and curves.

I have Picasa 3 which isn't very sophisticated and I don't know about filters and curves. But i had to find the original pre edited version and start again, one of the options being to convert to B/W. It's also why the photo isn't exactly the same size and I even forgot to level the horizon!

Picasa doesn't have such fancy stuff as curves and filters but it's very useful sometimes.

Yes, it's true. And such a shame that Google no longer supports or updates it. I wonder how long before they ruthlessly kill it off, like Google Reader and of course, Pano?

Well, if you've downloaded it, Google can't take it away:-) But of course there'll come the day when it won't run any longer on a new laptop....

Beautiful. In this case, the color version has such a wonderful light that imbues it with beautiful warmth that I think I prefer that version, but clearly it is a matter of taste.
