Clustered Lady's Slipper

This was photographed in the area of Leavenworth, Washington, and is our smallest and rarest Lady's Slipper. It is also very hard to find since it grows low to the ground and is often hidden by the grasses and other vegetation.

An awesome find, Ron, and a terrific shot. Do you have "Orchid Radar?" I'm lucky if I can find a Thistle! Hope you and the family are all well, and enjoy the rest of your week.

Interesting you should say that, John, because you do develop a kind of sixth sense for orchids and where to find them. It probably has to with the fact that you start to recognize the kinds of habitats they prefer and look harder for them there.
