Dove Stone Clough

Yet another visit to my local reservoir chain and this time we have quite a different view of the reservoir showing that the water level is still low even after some weeks of torrential rain. This little valley is called Dove Stone Clough and is in fact the course for a number of weirs bringing water to the reservoir from the higher Chew reservoir. See last photo for alternative view.

Herb Riddle replied to TOZ:

Of the two shots here Gordon I have to admit to liking this the best , with the leading curved path and closeness of the bracken hillside.

A cracking view of this wonderful landscape Herb. The light is lovely and I love the autumnal colours that are emerging. Beautifully composed and taken! ⭐️

Herb Riddle replied to Keith Burton:

autumn, normally my favourite photographing season is on its way here. There was even some lingering mist on the top side of the hills near here. Glad you liked this for another star.
