James Turrell is widely acknowledged as one of the most important artists working today. From the mid 1960s onwards his principal concern has been the way we apprehend light and space.
One of Turrell's ‘Skyspaces’, is an enclosed viewing chamber that affects our perception of the sky, and James and Adrian are calmly watching clouds through the open space in the roof. See the PiP.
I found that sitting in this chamber to be mesmerising, and immensly calming. Very suitable for those wishing to meditate.
