Dear members and friends of ipernity,
"We’ll take a cup o’ kindness yet, for auld lang syne." - Robert Burns
With the ringing in of the new year, we wish our ipernity community a year of joy, laughter, and of course, lots of shared photos and images! The team is grateful for everything we've done together in the past year. May the excitement of what's yet to come fill our website and your lives.1) Revision for user creating a new group.
Relating to item 20 of the 'problems' discussion in Group Guidelines, summarised as, "It is too easy to create a new group, when one on the topic already exists". This update means that a member is obliged to search for existing groups first, before being able to create a new group.

2) Further revision to our landing page.
While some people might replace their Rolls Royce with a Bugatti or a Tesla, we decided to go surfing...
See www.ipernity.com/explore, our thanks to Stephan Fey and his original photo.
3) Homepage pictures update.
The homepage has been updated for the change of season. We thank all who help us have such a wonderful selection of images.
It takes many hands to suggest, contribute, and vote on which images to use. This time the result is 15 new images. It takes yet more hands to help promote our website by viewing and commenting on the slide show on YouTube. Thanks in advance for helping with this last part of the work.
4) Group highlight.
To add some lighthearted fare to our Discover Groups listings, we have added a group on humour to the list. If you have a funny bone, please check out Humour.
We hope it will bring some laughter to your day!
Do you have a group for us to promote next? Contact us through 'Help & Contact' to make a suggestion.
5) Reminder and Request.
Reminder: Our annual membership meeting will be held on Sunday April 7th 2024, 5pm Paris (16:00 UTC).
Request: Are you a person who loves your time on ipernity? Do you visit the website at least once a week? You could become an advisor to the team!
Please see the comment under the team article about the ima team.
6) In memoria.
Sadly we pass on the news that two of our long time members, Bob Taylor and neira-Dan have passed away. Condolences and comments can be made on their respective in memoria pages.
Your ima team.

Only 130 people have viewed the slideshow since it was published 4 weeks ago. This is far below average:
Thereby, viewing would be an easy way to improve the visibility of ipernity in Google's search results, because every click increases the relevance of the query term.
Bergfex replied to Bergfex:
(It is by no means necessary. I can also simply select the images on my own, as I did from 2018 to 2022. But then nobody should complain that this is not a joined-up process.)

As this group is linked to from the main menu of our website [Explore / Noteworthy], it is part of the public relations work for our club. Thanks to all contributors.
Please note: The images shown in [Explore / Noteworthy] are presented in a random order. You can find the chronological order in the group "Ambassador Images".
