I've had some happy accidents with my resin....
In case you were wondering what I mean by the title - I'll explain. As you are well aware I'm keeping myself occupied by making resin jewellry, I have made so many and I do intend to sell them eventually, I just look at the pile of bags full to bursting with all the pendants and say to myself that they represent a car for me!!!!

Well I try to make different designs with the resin and the other week I discovered that I'd bought colourant powders at the beginning and had completely forgotten about them. So I've been using the different colours to add a different complexion on things.

Then I had another lucky accident - I'd inadverdently stuck the mould on the underside of the cabochon tray (the metal case). So when I came across another similar design, same size, I thought of putting it on the right side, hence making this a ball....

It looks quite different I can tell you - and I'm going to do this style again - only deliberately this time.

The other day - I did some plain clear resin and dropped a couple of drops of coloured resin in, and just semi-stirred it, then went off to do something else (a phone call or something) When I got back I couldn't stir it because it had semi-set. Never mind says I, I can just see what it'll look like when I completely set it under the UV lamp. What a lucky break - the result was so different from the things I'd been doing. I was so delighted with the result, that I have now done a few of them deliberately.

As you can see it does make the resin act completely different this way. Just using the coloured resin on its own, you get this effect....

So I'm delighted to discover this effect by mistake. That's about all I have to write about really - things are rather quiet. Ann, my neighbour has phoned to tell me she has COVID - she's well and truly fully vaccinated, so she isn't feeling too bad. That makes nearly everyone around me has had COVID, apart from me!!!! Long may it last too. Stay safe out there please.

Jenny some of these are so completely different. Lovely! I especially like the purple and green blend. The more solid purple is gorgeous also. Nice mistake,!

Thanks Gracie - I'm happy with them, and it's made my brain work and I've got ideas for doing different colours!!!! So watch this space. Ann loved the turquoise one which I gave her, to say thank you for doing so much for me.

These are beautiful and so very different. It is a nice surprise to find things like this work out so well, and sometimes so unexpectedly.
You have a wonderful talent for these crafty things, I'm rather envious of your skills and imagination.

Wow thanks for your lovely comment. I have always been rather crafty, from a very young age. I've made dolls houses, forts, zoos, soft toys and jewellry, apart from knitting, crochet, cross-stitch and sewing etc. I can't keep still, I have to be doing something with my hands. As for my imagination - oh thankfully it's still in find fettle, despite everything else slowing down!!! LOL

I think you mean the turquoise ones - I'll make some green ones to show you the difference. I've heard from Anne and she still sounds rather quiet and very tired. I'll certainly pass on the good wishes from you - she'll be very touched. Stay safe

Jenny you and my sister would get on famously in so far as crafty. Shes just like you. Can make just about anything including the props for themed parties.. She made me a doll house that looked like a mini replica of mine at Christmas. Wallpaper colors etc. Even put in a miniature picture of Amanda on the wall. She's very talented.
