Snow Time!

Another local scene albeit set in a rather artistic way here, taken in winter conditions way back in 2009. The children are gathering up snow for their snow-ball fight. I am walking down our nearby linear park walk towards the suburb of Springhead.
Enjoy full screen.

An exceptionally beautiful winter scene Herb..............it could be described as timeless if it were not for the children's modern clothing and the roof aerials. Viewed large it could almost be an oil painting. A cracking shot sir!

Herb Riddle replied to Keith Burton:

Again your words here HONOUR me Keith. It seems that I must have the right ingredients at least in the way I see and capture MY world. Great stuff!

Keep safe this week. Herb

I agree with Keith!
It is, in fact, a stunning painting, perhaps by Dutch painters
Magic contrast between immobility house and trees and the tiny children playing
Fantastic, Herb

I like to see you in your new photo

Herb Riddle replied to J.Garcia:

Ha, Judite, what can I say -even a compliment about my portrait here. It was time I replaced that old version of me and so I am happy that somebody at least has noticed my actions. As to the enjoyment of this photo from you -worlds almost fail to show my appreciation of that. In fact I used to make many more 'artistic' images but like many a thing, it has gone out of fashion for me. This photo does bring back a happy memory of it being spotted by the person who lives (or lived) in that house in the picture and knew the children. i sent them a full copy of the original.

Enjoy the rest of the day. See you again soon -Hebert

Kids love snow Herb, and I have to admit, I do too! A super shot!
Good to see you without the camera in front of your face Herb :-))
Have a good week ahead. Cheers, Rosa.

Herb Riddle replied to Rosalyn Hilborne:

I must admit to liking snow. I used to sledge down our local golf courses and then later ski in the Alps, combining snow and exhilaration. Great that you have enjoyed another of my winter shots. More to come. And yes, I do get away from the camera sometimes too. Glad you liked the me snap :)

Have a great week. Herb
