The Kiama Blowhole was formed by the action of air in a wave-worn cave. The waves entering the cave compress the air, acting as a drill and forcing a passage upwards. Once a hole is opened, wave action forces water up into the air. Over time, as the hole has enlarged, the plume of spray becomes less. It is now at its best in a strong south easterly wind. I missed having a good plume when taking the fences, but caught a better one with the PiP. Happy Fence Friday and have a great weekend, everyone.
