Sword Bossiaea

This is one of about 80 species making up the genus of Bossiaea, native only to Australia and found in all States. This species is from east coastal Australia and grows as a small shrub, flowering in Spring. The genus derives its botanical name from Boissieu de la Martinière, a doctor and plant collector who was a member of the La Perouse 1785-1788 expedition to the Australian coastline.
