"Mina" is the name of this statue of an endangered Eastern Lowland Gorilla. Even sitting she is some 3.5 metres tall and was made by sculptors Gillie and Marc, who donated her and other sculptures to the local Shire. Details of her on PiP. She has only recently been installed in a local park, where she is attracting a huge amount of interest. Some, on F/B, in the form of AI modifications (see PiPs). She also is attracting huge interest from the youngsters (see final PiP - also showing the year end "Family Funfair" recently arrived and about to be erected in the background.)
Kudos to the sculptors! It's wonderful to see this statue in all its glory, George!
I really like this series, and I hope people will do everything in their power to ensure the survival of this species and others endangered in the animal and plant worlds.
