Bourke Post Office

Australia's smaller country towns have some lovely old buildings, such as this Post Office and the pub across the road (see PiP) in Bourke. I guess there isn't the same pressure to "replace with newer" that applies to the larger centres.

Lovely old buildings indeed, George. We saw some of these towns and their older and interesting buildings in the Atherton Highlands. The same seems to be true of older towns in the midwest, though the architecture is different.
