Steam at work

This is the stoker at work on the "PS Pevensey", on which we cruised the Murray. It still has its original steam engine from 1911, using wood as fuel. In the PiPs, more views of the engine which is fully open to viewing by passengers (behind fences). Finally, a view of the paddle wheel operating, visible through a porthole.

What a great set you have here George. Love these old engines. It is not very often one sees one in a boat. The last time I saw one was when we were taking a trip on the SS Sir Walter Scott in the Scottish Trossachs on Loch Katrine. Love the engineer checking it over and the PiPs too. Very well done.
