Global Climate Strike

With the failure of worldwide governments (not least ours in Australia) to take the actions needed to limit anthropogenic climate change, today is a worldwide day of protest at the need to do more. These schoolchildren were among the crowd of about 600 people of all ages at our local event - good for a small community. The PiPs show more images. There were speakers on the back of the white vehicle.
Here's a musical link.

I fully agree with all the sentiments behind this George but if all the governments decided to ban cars tomorrow what a disaster that would be !!!!

A fitting combination for 'Sight and Sound', George. I know some demonstrations are due to take place here in the UK this weekend. Some weeks ago, when I was in Oxford, a demonstration took place and I took some photos. I will see if there are any photos I can use in the 'Sight and Sound' Group.

Thank you, George, for posting to Sight and Sound : Pictures & Music
