With ipernity since 2014, Udo Schmidt passed away on November 24th, 2024.

Udo was an integral part of our community for many years. Photography and exchanges with the other ipernity members was very important to him. His joy in photography, his ambition and of course his pride in good placements were clearly noticeable. He had many friendships amongst ipernity members. His love of nature shown through his images and they were well appreciated here.

His daughter recently informed us of Udo's passing and told us, "It was always a great joy for Dad and a competition with the other photographers. He was extremely proud when he appeared in the first three places in the gallery again. The competition was very strong. The friends on Ipernity gave him so many beautiful moments and he was online every day."
