This Easter I bought my nephew an Easter egg. There was limited choice in the shop (Easter Eggs are not a big thing in Spain). I saw it was a Kinder egg so I knew there would be a little present in it. I didn't look at the label carefully and was without my glasses anyway. To my consternation when he opened it I saw that the proffusive glittery wrapping had obscured the fact that it was a Barbie doll egg! Indeed the present inside it was a little doll! Fortunately I quickly covered my tracks by explaining that it was the only egg left in the shop so I had got a replacement gift as I knew the doll wouldn't be for him. He could give the doll to his little girlfriend. (I had got a pair of party sunglasses for him as an extra Christmas gift but had forgotten to give it to him at the right time!) So it all worked out in the end!
Yes, these are made out of some ceramic, and treasured in the box in between the Easter holidays. Although we are not religious, it is a nice way to celebrate the start of spring =)
