Fading

Perhaps it is
Too late
For the hope
Of summer
When half a
Lifetime divides.
Memories sparkle
In the sun only
From a distance.
Nonetheless,
The heart
Still yearns.
But now the day
Is fading.

A very simple, but deceptively beautiful and minimalist composition. I love the light, especially where it reflects on the water and the colours in the sky are gorgeous.

I also like the silhouettes and the ripples of the wave movement! An excellent s hot Rachel.

I would never have guessed this was Weston-Super-Mare...............

The Limbo Connection replied to Keith Burton:

I don't think I would have guessed either, though in hindsight there is a strong clue. The low tide mark in Weston Bay is about 1 mile (1.6 km) from the seafront. Although the beach itself is sandy, low tide uncovers areas of thick mud, hence the colloquial name, Weston-super-Mud.

Weston super Mare has one of the longest and naturally occuring beaches in the UK. Weston has the second highest tidal range in the world (15 meters).
