Sahalie Falls

A couple at the top of Sahalie Falls. This is part of the McKenzie River in central Oregon. Rain and snow melt percolate through the lava fields of central Oregon to feed the McKenzie River. Part of the McKenzie River then empties into my sink and shower.

Sometimes, people fling themselves over Sahalie Falls.

I prefer to stay on solid ground, and enjoy the rainbow.

At least this couple looks like they are holding ground with their wide foot stance. This is a great photo! That foot stance reflects the logs! Such excellent framing and light balance. Love it!

Thank you for the insightful comment. As I had not previously noticed the parallel between the logs and their legs. Instead my mind focuses on how one false step and one of them falls over the edge. Perhaps, because I have twice stepped on slippery rocks and nearly fallen over the edge of a waterfall. And another time I was walking backwards, trying to better frame a waterfall in the viewfinder, and nearly stepped off a cliff edge, which I did not realize was behind me.
