A Happy Bench Monday to all. This bench sits in the centre of an art installation called Meeting Place on the Western Foreshore in Mandurah. Sound from the air movement through the gaps in the structure above the bench can be heard at all times, but is particularly clear from the bench in the centre. It is a gentle musical susurration which is extremely restful. At night the structure lights up bluish-green, although it constantly changes to give a pulsating effect.

It really is beautiful and serves no purpose except to be beautiful, which is possibly the highest purpose of all.
