Sunday Snail

I found this snail wandering around in my garden and after a high speed chase, I caught it and took it indoors to photograph on a sheet of vinyl.

Afterwards it was returned to the garden given a piece of lettuce leaf as payment for posing :-))

You obviously managed not to traumatize it or it would have retreated into its shell;-) A brilliant idea and reflection!

Keith Burton replied to Gudrun:

Yes........no snails were traumatised in the making of this image. That was not the case for me though.......I got throughly exhausted chasing it round the garden :-))

I'm pleased you like this one Gudrun and thanks for your visit and lovely comments..!!

It must have been quite a chase as this snail has racing stripes! Did this snail take up residency in your empty shell :-))
As ever a cracking shot

Keith Burton replied to James:

It was indeed James, especially for a man of my advanced age. Bending down to pick it up was exhausting :-)))

Glads you like the resulting photo though.......and thanks very much for dropping by and commenting..!!

Reminds of the old joke,. ''A snail robs a tortoise,. the Cop asks the tortoise ''can you give any description ?'' he replies - ''I don't know it all happened so fast''
