My "wildlife" lens was a 100-400mm zoom........but it weighed a ton and I rarely carried it. I eventually traded it in for another lens!

Diesen Reiher kenn ich gar nicht lieber Keith,da hast du ja eine tolle Entdeckung gemacht mit diesen Silberreiher,rausgehen zahlt sich immer aus,du hast ihn ganz toll aus verschiedenen Ansichten aufgenommen,aber ich finde auch das kleine Entlein ist richtig hübsch,das hätte sich auch ein Fotoshooting verdient:))

Wonderful capture and a lovely reflection. My go to lens is usually a 12-40 pro grade it's the old style I got it second hand when people were trading them in for the compact version it is a bit heavy but it crops well and you can get in close, I'm not keen on having it around by neck I use a wrist strap and carry it in my hand, my 40-150 is getting a bit loose it tends to creep if it's pointing down, the camera is starting to show it's age it's 10 years old
