Feathers

The pigeons that visit our garden must have been very hungry today as they spent ages fighting over the seed I put out for them. Afterwards I found quite a few feather lying around, so I thought I'd put them to good use.

Taken indoors in natural light from the window, the background is a piece of white card, and the "base: for the feathers is a bit of very soft driftwood I found on the beach a while ago.

Thanks for looking.

It certainly could be.........I suppose, but a real Indian headdress is much more impressive and colourful :-)

Fabulous image Keith, the piece of driftwood is perfect for the job and the image,
I suppose they are coming to the moult now so feathers will scattered around the gardens now,
We only have wood pigeons and they are rather subdued at the moment.

Nice work and one to remember !

Keith Burton replied to Roger (Grisly):

Thanks Roger............I'm glad you like how I put this one together, and the final result. As always you're very kind.

Most of our visitors are wood pigeons, but we also get a few feral pidgeons too..........together with gangs of magpies and jackdaws. We get very few small birds sadly!
