Fuchsia

Taken in my garden yesterday afternoon. I thought these were all finished for this year, but this one seems to be hanging on!

Lovely colour and still looking very fresh, an excellent capture Keith.
Ours were looking very much over but the overnight deluge has freshened everything up, a little late for many plants I suspect.

Keith Burton replied to Roger (Grisly):

Thanks for your kind comments Roger...........always appreciated (and makes sharing worthwhile)!

I think the only things left flowering in my back garden are these fuchsias, some Guernsey lilies and some verbena, although some of the perennials in the front garden pots are still going quite well. Gardening is my wife's thing really.........I just do the "grunt" work and take photos :-)))

They make for a beautiful splash of colour, perfect with the shallow DoF that makes for a soft background. Fuchsia magellanica are quite hardy, their native Patagonia doesn't have the mildest climate:-)

Keith Burton replied to Gudrun:

Thank you so much Gudrun............glad you like this one. I had no idea they were native to Patagonia, so thanks for letting me know. As I've said before, every day's a schoolday on Ipernity :-))

A lovely focus on the flowers Keith, it looks beautiful. Mine are still flowering but the garden is beginning to look like it needs a good tidy up, with a lot of cutting back to do! I didn't know they were from Patagonia (Gudrun's comment). We learn something every day!

Thanks as always Rosa...........glad you like it. I think the only things left flowering in my back garden are these fuchsias, some Guernsey lilies and some verbena, although some of the perennials in the front garden pots are still going strong!

I had no idea they were native to Patagonia either!

A focal length that produces a three-dimensional effect that looks like purple flowers passing through the screen. Nice work, Keith. Warm greetings, Anton.
