Oyster Shell and Barnacles (+PiP)

On my walk last Tuesday, I ventured on to a beach as the tide was receding and discovered this old and empty oyster shell covered in barnacles. I thought it was very photogenic and put it up on a wall to take a couple of shots. The "ghostly" sailing boats made a good background, I thought.

Try viewing large for detail. Thanks for looking.

The PiP shows a closer version.

Enjoy your Friday...........and have a good weekend.

Have you ever seen barnacles feeding, Keith? That's your next macro challenge. ;-))
A lovely shot with the pearly interior of the oyster just fading out of focus, and a very arty background..
