Half a Chance

SSC and Sight and Sound

This week's SSC challenge from Sami: ~Use the edge of a photo to cut the main subject in half~

This challenge was more difficult than it sounded. It was fun to play around with though and I learned a new technique that I'd never consciously tried before. I will probably use it in the future. I like it. This is an antique bowl and pitcher set from my grandparents (another pic in note.)

Carly Simon from her "Another Passenger" album (1976)

Very good composition =) I am a fan of ambient light myself, but I suggest trying to adjust the white balance a little.

Also the picture on note is great!

A beautifully captured image of this pitcher and its bowl Karen! How wonderful that it's from your grandparents. :-)

It's probably one of my favorite heirlooms. I was lucky to get it. Thanks, pal. :)
