My favourite local bird, I think

I don't know about you, but the Black-capped chickadee is my favourite local bird. So when I saw this one, trying to eat what looked like a hazelnut, right outside the bathroom window, I went for my camera. And I was lucky that he stayed, waiting for me to come back. And then for his portrait to be taken. Once I had my shot, he dropped his nut and dove down to retrieve it, but not to return to the window.

Anna, one of the older local names for the chickadee was Tomtit. I think your tit and our tit are related. :)
