Spring as she is

We're between storms here in St. John's, Nfld. Yesterday we had glitter and tomorrow we have fifteen cm of snow falling. Yes, on 24/4. So it is here.

But the flowers are blooming as if they don't care.

I didn't want to get down on my belly today to focus properly, because the sidewalk was running wet with snowmelt, so the picture is piss-poor, but this is a neighbour's heather in bloom. This was right next to some golden-yellow crocuses. Great sight for spring.

Such as spring is.

It's not a "piss-poor" picture. It works just fine. I like it very much and that's all that matters to me. Enjoy your spring when it comes; just think of we poor Australians entering winter (though I suspect our WA winter temperatures would hold no fears for you rugged Canadians!).

John, thanks for the kind words about the picture. And for the words of weather encouragement. May your autumn days, shortening for a few more weeks, still be fine!
