I take pictures of birds almost every day. And I keep trying to know about the birds I see. Like this very brown snowbird, or junco if you like that name.

I'm told that male snowbirds tend towards darker greys and blacks and whiter whites, while females (and juveniles) tend towards brownish greys and muckish whites. This bird then falls into one of the latter groups.

Looking at brownish juncos, I can see better that they are a sparrow.
