Two flickers in the rain

The rain has been beating hard against the windows at the back of the house today. The birds continue to show up at the feeders despite the soaking they are getting.

This pair of flickers was at the suet for a good hour this morning, trading places back and forth. You cannot tell well here but the one on the left is a male and the one on the right is a female. It's difficult to tell mostly because of the rain streaming down the window I shot through.

You can, however, tell easily that this was two images. Because the two birds were trading places, the two pictures were taken a few minutes apart. And I glommed 'em together.

No AI was used in the production of this picture, just thirty-year-old shoppery. I like the result.
