Whiskey Jack in the little apples

The whiskeyjack, grey jay, the sensible and elegant cousin to the skitzy blue jay.

Whiskeyjacks are like bluejays adulting.

When peanuts are out, the whiskeyjack is nearly as fast as the blue jay, and probably slyer, but the blues push the greys aside easily, and the crows push both of them aside.

This is in an ornamental crabapple. The tree blooms beautifully but produces tiny fruit that no birds seem to have much interest in.
