Butterfly Weed

The previous day's excellent light was still with us a year ago, so I celebrated in the yard.

The Butterfly Weed's flyaway seeds are always tempting to photograph, but difficult to photograph--and to process--well. I tried several approaches to processing the photo above before selecting this version.

Not bad for what amounts to a toy camera.

==========

I posted a shot of Joan's tomatoes to 366 Snaps; that shot's below. I think it probably speaks for itself.

This photograph is an outtake from my 2012 photo-a-day project, 366 Snaps.

Number of project photos taken: 36
Title of "roll:" Around the Yard
Other photos taken on 9/16/2012: Joan used some of the tomatoes to make chili. I took photographs.
