I'll fly away!

It was glorious a year ago today, and I was having fun with light. First I took a little tour on the rural roads around the town--that's the photo above--then worked my way around the village--the 366 Snaps photo below. Not everything I tried that morning worked, but it's one of my more interesting sets from the photo-a-day project.

The building below--it's a house on the northern edge of the village--looks like it was originally a hotel or hostel or something of the sort. Since I've lived here the owners have begun a series of restoration projects, none of which seem to get completed.
